One thing I learned today:
The companies that offer a BTC ETF do not pay any taxes on the Bitcoin that they hold. They only pay taxes on the income on the management fee they charge for the fund. However, buyers of the share will get tax documents for their revenue made.
My confusion initially was that because, for example, Blackrock holds Bitcoin and the Bitcoin could appreciate at a faster rate that the funds of the share. Meaning, could they potentially own more value than the secondary market price and NAV of the fund? To be honest, not sure here.
