The Glitch is home to Hackers, Saboteurs, Assassins, Bureaucrats and Government Officials. A Glitch-Mage is someone that has transcended their local reality to escape vertically into a different layer of the infinite simulation. The horizontally aligned multiverses may be different timelines, the vertical simulations are entirely new layers of metaverses. Glitch-Mages may thus virtualize matter to escape obstacles in real life, exploit hidden backdoors in reality or inject literal or memetic malware into networks and societies. In the game this manifests as gathering intel on the opposition, sabotaging their plans whilst pursuing them in the shadows.

🔅Gravity The Priests of Gravity worship the Cosmos, Space-Time, Astronomy, Holographic-Principle, Mathematics and Geometry, Logic and Philosophy. Gravity’s Ecclesiarchy is home to those who gaze into the stars, venture into the cold void and return enlightened. Its style is defensive, controlling, inevitable like a slowly encroaching black-hole. Practitioners of Gravity-Magic can turn the clock of time, both by freezing and accelerating. They can open wormholes to jump into the far reaches of infinite space-time geometries. A Gravity-Mage can fold themselves and others into lower or higher dimensions, capturing foes in Space Pockets or Time Bubbles. In the game, this realizes as cost manipulation, damage prevention and removal spells.

⚛️Quantum The Quantum Way revolves around alternate timelines/parallel universes, lasers, light and optics, strange quantum effects, stochastics and subatomic particle-waves. Like a crystalline Prism breaks and mirrors light, the Quantum Way attracts all those who seek fortune, a second chance, a gambit and a higher meaning within infinite realities. They can be gamblers, stock traders, explorers, entrepeneurs or rogue scientists. Quantum-Mages jump infinite timelines, their alternate selves like photons reflected in a caleidoscopic mirror house. They know the secret of jumping in and out of virtual existences, essence entanglement and how to cheat death via quantum-immortality. During gameplay, their glass cannon style is enhanced with evasive magic, slinging and copying spells and their assault through random portal rifts at lightning speed.

☢️Atomic The Atomic Lords harness the powers of energy and matter. Their might is based on the schools of Electromagnetism, various Engineering diciples (such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering), Material Science, Nuclear/Atomic Physiscs, and Military Warcraft. It is home to those who use brute force in the pursuit of power, where victory is the only option in a grim universe that knows only war and destruction. They are specialists in forging the strongest materials or the most destructive weapons. This faction attracts straight-forward people from all ranks, mostly of competitive hierarchies as in the military, academia or elite corporations. They can be crusaders, peacemakers or conquerors. In game, this reflects in a combat- and damage-focused playstyle, winning at any cost as fast as possible.
🌐Planet The Planetary Guardians derive their strength from the planetary spheres: most notably the lithosphere, stratosphere and biosphere. Planet-Magic is based on Earth Science, Climate Science, Thermodynamics and Archeology. One would say Planetary Magic is “classical” as it rules over the four elements, fire — water — air—earth. It strives to achieve harmony and balance in each Planet’s Gaia, its unified collective god, which spreads its tendril leylines across its planetary spheres. Depending on the planet they are bonded with, Planet-Mages can conjure different kinds of sorcery. Their art also depends on which sphere’s leyline they draw their powers from. Stratospheric leylines have an entirely different character than lithospheric ones. In game, this faction is equally balanced between offense and defensive, and performs well in every stage of the game.

✡️Alchemy Alchemy is the ancient art of change. It is based on regular chemistry with all its subsets, pharmacology, toxicology, but also on occultism and esoteric Astrology. It is the most academic and hermetic out of all factions, and also the most proud and ancient one. It attracts eager students or arrogant mentors from all walks of life, chemists and cooks, artisans gifted in their meticulous craft. Playing them feels like puzzle pieces slowly falling into place. An Alchemist is willing to adapt to anything and mutate friend or foe alike, transmuting and transforming as master of change. Slowly, an Alchemist builds up their forces to strike decisively once. The longer they stay, the more their trinkets and mutants snowball out of control.

☣️Life The dark Acolytes of Life study Mortality, Necromancy, the Life Sciences (f.e. Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology), Medicine, Surgery, Biotech and Genetic Engineering. They attract the resilient ones, those that refuse to stay down. Unrelenting, slow march of death in an endless cycle of rebirth. The are not afraid to exploit forbidden resources, as the blood, DNA and chemical life force of others is their currency. Each member offers their live willingly, since they know that death is but a brief pause for the task at hand, achieving the greater good of collective unity. During gameplay, this manifests as graveyard recursion, healing spells and sacrifice.

👁️Psychic The bizarre Psychics arts are based on Psychology, the Social Sciences, Art, the Paranormal, Dreams, Madness and Memes. Methodical like a psychopath or crazed like a Joker, Artisans of this obscure Order don’t confront their enemies directly, but rather change their intent, brainwash their servants and consume their souls. They attract all the broken and beautiful minds alike, artists, visionaries and prophets, but also maniacs, schizos and lunatics. Those gifted with Telepathy steer deep into the minds and insecurities of others, implanting thought viruses and hidden agendas. Where Life-Mages value the Blood as resource, Psychics value the ethereal Soul. Soulmagic and Psychokinesis are two ways to break the limits of nature and sanity. Their humanity slowly dwindling, Psychic-Mages will stop at nothing in their enigmatic endeavours, bearing any loss no matter the cost. In game, this realizes as a risky suicidal playstyle, sacrificial strategies, parasitic stealing tactics, illusions and elusive control spells.
