Gm/gn everyone!

     Lately, I have been asking myself the question of how life would be if The Memes by 6529 were part of daily life banners or signs around my city instead of plain old ads and whatnots. By following this pressuring question, I thought that maybe the photoshopped outcomes could create a visual proposal of a world in which the Memes are seen and a part of cities’ daily facade. The idea came to me as I was staring at a blank billboard while waiting for my bus to arrive and I thought (maybe) I had the necessary photoshop skills to pull this through. So I have been taking billboard or sign pictures around my city without trying not to be seen as creepy for over a month now. So far I have created six of them and I want to call this project 'Istanbul, the Meme City'. That’s why I created this blog page and will update it occasionally if things go on to bloom much.

     So the image below is the first finalized output of İstanbul, the Meme City. It was taken in Zeytinburnu, Çırpıcı around the bus terminal. I believe it signifies the mystery behind Satoshi Nakamoto in a playful way and achieves what I seek to show (Memes as daily life occurrences). That’s why I wanted to call it ‘The man behind the idea’ … as if Nakamoto himself is passing nonchalantly in the Meme City of İstanbul, possibly grinning at the myth he has created.

     Then again I have 5 different other rememes that I have come up with but can’t seem to find appropriate names for them now. I am not even sure if I should be bothered to name them this way but what the hell. Will call them # number for now.
