I have been thinking about what would be the best start for initiatives at HGHR foundation. A lot. Amidst the chaos of life lately, I've been thinking.
A little detour:
I kind of noticed that when I write stuff from mind to draft, I tend to take detours so this first detour is a disclosure. Thanks for understanding. (I'll leave a summary at the top to save your time).
With building HGHR, I've found places where an opportunity for partnership or impact lie quite often. A confirmation bias of sorts.
Dipo is a ghostwriter for many founders within our space, a father of two kids sustaining his family on writing content for Web3 founders too busy to yap. Lately, Dipo has decided to positively impact his sphere of influence by visiting schools for primary school kids that are barely functional.
From my conversation with him, some of these kids have not seen a computer.
This is unfortunately not a new or rare occasion in many parts of Nigeria. This is however, one that HGHR can reach by virtue of this connection.
This is not yet a call to action, this is simply my thought process in real time on the possibly reaching effects of a functional HGHR foundation.
I'm considering partnering with Dipo on a somewhat mid-long term project to put Oyo town on the map starting with rebuilding/renovating some of these broken down schools and equipping them with Electricity, Water, Computers and beginning some sort of blockchain education initiative at the primary school level.
Our first road block was announced a few days ago when the Nigerian government announced a ban on importing solar panels so here we go again.
Ryan Haczynski aka Phunky.
A remarkable former Teacher and lifelong educator who has now turned into full time Chad and blockchain advocate. This man is an inspiration just like the rest of the gang I got to know during my days speaking regularly on the Modern Market (a daily crypto show on Twitter and Youtube).
My respect for Phunky skyrocketed the day I first saw This Video of him addressing the Hillsborough School Board in Florida, to advocate for the inclusion of Blockchain Education into the curriculum.
He is one of a handful of people I know to be in constant direct contact with legislators from counties all over to champion teaching digital asset literacy.
I seem to think I can help prove and validate his thesis by speed-running an experimental blockchain education seminar for High school students in Nigeria. With access to quality resources and crypto natives willing to take on the task of showing the ropes to young teens in Nigeria, I really think there's something here to work on.
Certainly worth a look into partnering with the A.B.E. (Ardent Blockchain Education) initiative which Phunky represents to foster this possibility.
In Conclusion, I have some ideas (some of which I haven't articulated yet), I don't yet know how to go forward, nor have I set up the mechanisms for funding, receiving donations and what not but I'll continue to share these ideas.
Hopefully, someone reads this and wants to join HGHR foundation. These two ideas align with the broader vision to:
a) Be a citadel for blockchain education and resources for it in Africa (via the school initiative with Dipo)
b) Become a conversation starter with policy makers and governments across the continent to advocate for actual implementation of policies favorable for our ecosystem in Africa. (as inspired by the Phunk)
Send a mail to kuusho@hghr.foundation if you're looking to help us on this mission.
Till the next one.

I'll share a few updates on HGHR once concrete but I've been thinking a lot about first steps and I have some ideas. shared a thought or two here: https://paragraph.com/@empty-notes/building-hghr-2
