The Artist's Oath
The Artist’s Oath is a personal commitment to how I show up creatively. It is a reminder to lead with integrity, to resist the pressure to perform, and to make work that reflects truth, not just what gets attention. It is a compass for navigating the tension between expression and permanence, and a way to stay rooted in what matters: presence, process, and purpose, not perfection.

When the urge hits to tell everyone what you’re working on, remember this: move in silence.
It’s tempting to share your plans and seek validation, but most progress happens behind the scenes. Silence isn’t about keeping secrets; it’s about protecting your energy and focus.
Let your actions speak louder than your words.
When the time comes, your results will do the talking, and they’ll say everything that needs to be said.

runs contrary to the demands of socials that demands that one remain visible showing their 'process' etc . incentives and so on . and that in of itself is a contradiction . if i did not have to worry about promoting my work then i could do just that and only occasionally emerge from the cave to show what has been done .
"Silence [is] about protecting your energy and focus." you can still be visible and "move in silence" not everything needs to be shared in public. choosing what to promote is just as important as protecting what not to promote.
i agree . it's impossible for me to share everything i do . i do way too much 😂
