Current virtual identity: Valgueri as Protealax Current whereabouts: Node 787 Collection / Sphere reference: CyberBrokers
I’ve slowly come to realize that I’m in dire need of better representation. I need to engage an entity that has ties into some form of reality; even if it’s not the Prime, but also can move between spheres. I need someone who’s not The Operator, and not confined to a single virtual space.
I’ve been somewhat frustrated in my efforts of late. Prime Valgueri’s disappearance and The Operator’s…struggles around managing our financials have left me in a bit of a bind. So, I’ve been searching. One option has been to engage the services of a CyberBroker.
If nothing else I can hope they can deal with the speculators that seem to plague every corner of these worlds. It’s clear that The Operator struggles with this, and until we can contact Prime Valgueri, I need to rely on him for…too many things. He needs help. We need help.
Mostly I’ve found only rumors, but what I hear about CyberBrokers seems promising. Identities that fit seamlessly within the metaverse, ostensibly across spheres, my hope is that engaging one will benefit not only The Operator but my investigations as well.
But what I’ve heard is mostly hearsay. And all of that is filtered through The Operator’s…how can I put this? The Operator has limited knowledge and seems often distracted. What I get from him is often incomplete. I’m starting to feel like he’s a bit…slow? I guess.
Nevertheless, what I hear is interesting. I need someone capable, yet flexible, who can help The Operator help me, but also assist as I dive farther into the Deeps. I need someone savvy; someone who can go to places where I cannot, and interface with parts of these virtual worlds I’ve struggled to understand. At the same time, I’ll need them to get along well with the others.
To that end, I’ve been investigating several proto CyberBrokers. The information I’ve been given has been somewhat limited, what I have learned is interesting. I don’t know their names, but have given them…colorful monikers to differentiate.

Amber is the most flexible of the three, and the one most likely to be able to tolerate the other entities I’ve gathered; though it’s unclear how they will react to the magic. They seem open-minded and enthusiastic, but also rather frivolous at times. Would I need to worry about them losing focus? Still, their skills are balanced and I suspect their operator is committed. As well, I’ve noticed an uncommon ability to adapt and blend in that I think would prove highly advantageous.
Cerulean is less subtle. I have concerns about his ability to…get along…with the others, but there is no doubting his talent and intellect. Of the three he is the most technical, a skill I value highly, especially given The Operator’s shortcomings. But I would worry quite a lot about his interactions and how they reflected upon me. Would I be able to control him? I have some doubts.
Violet seems the most in line with my own essence. I don’t have a solid impression of her operator, but she seems a curious and thoughtful entity, with a lot of empathy. She seems like she’d be the easier of the three to manage, but I do worry about her ability to handle some of the more stressful situations she might encounter.
As an option though, the CyberBrokers seems more than interesting. Of course, this will bear more investigation. I think my next step will be to have Jujube assess if she is willing. Any interaction between the mage and these CyberBrokes will be highly telling I suspect.
Note to Nine: I’ve not heard anything from you in several weeks. I admit that I’ve checked on you and things seem to be going well at Ravensbridge, but I’m curious. I’ve asked The Operator to be in touch with you. Please let him know if you need assistance or help with anything.
