How to: Move $ETH from Arbitrum to zkSync
Ethereum layer 1 gas fees are really painful at the present that's because of the success of the Ethereum blockchain. We've seen an enormous growth in terms of people utilizing the blockchain. High gas fees shows just really shows Ethereum's success. There are several layer 2 scaling protocols who have come to the rescue. Here are the basic steps to move your funds from Arbitrum(Layer2 optimistic rollup solution built on Ethereum by Offchain Labs) to zkSync(a trustless protocol...
Cheap, Fast, and Secured Transactions on Orbiter Finance - coinjournal.co
Here’s of how Orbiter Finance’s mechanism works in a nutshell. I’ve been using Orbiter Finance in the past two months moving funds from L1 to L2 or vice versa. Nice thing about Orbiter is can also move funds from another L2 protocol to another and I can say the experience is good can’t complain about anything. Cheap, fast, and secured transactions.Current cross-rollup protocols that Orbiter supports:zkSyncArbitrumOptimismPolygon“Security is the most important thing besides being cheap and fas...

What is zkSync?
ZkSync is a Layer 2 scaling solution on Ethereum that offers low gas and fast transactions, that inherits Ethereum mainnet security and finality.
It is powered by zkRollup technology and uses zero-knowledge proofs and on-chain data availability to keep users' funds as safe as they never left the mainnet.

You might wondering what are rollups?
Rollups perform transaction execution outside the main Ethereum blockchain and send the transaction data back to the main Ethereum network. (So here’s a good example, it is like compressing files in L2 through via .zip and then sending the .zip file to Ethereum L1.)
Here’s a good read about rollup technology posted by Vitalik Buterin.
An Incomplete Guide to Rollups
https://vitalik.ca/general/2021/01/05/rollup.html
They have recently launched zkSync Baby Alpha.

What can zkSync do?
zkSync offers cheap transactions up to 1/100 of L1 gas & cheaper than using optimistic rollups. zkSync solves the problems with expensive transactions fees, if you have been in the cryptospace since 2020 I’m sure that you have seen that Ethereum gas fees sky rocketed to approximately $100 on a single transaction.

It scales - zkSycn can process up to 2000+ transactions per second (tps) compared to 14tps on L1
Security, secured by the main Ethereum blockchain, you can compare the security level of like you have not left the mainnet.
Censorship resistant, you can move your assets to L1 any time you wish.
You can now also move your funds to L1 to L2 or vice versa by the help of bridges like LayerSwap, Orbiter, zkSync’s native bridge, and ZigZag’s bridge.

zkSync has great UX. Go ahead and test it out set up your zkSync wallet. (Note: You can also connect your existing wallet via their website through the listed options.)

They are also backed by reputable institutions and organizations.

If you’re a developer and you’d like to start building in zkSync, you can go through the documentation here.
Stay tuned for the upcoming blog, we’ll dig in to zkSync’s tech.
