As I embarked on my journey at the Ethereum India Fellowship 3.0, I was filled with a mixture of excitement and nervous energy. The thought of being selected out of over 7000 applicants was an immense honor and I was eager to start this new chapter in my life.
The kick-off session was electric, setting the stage for what was to come. Our program leaders introduced us to the fellowship structure and guidelines, and I couldn't help but feel optimistic about the weeks ahead. They emphasized the importance of collaboration, growth, and the impact we can have on the Ethereum ecosystem. The program leaders were knowledgeable and passionate, and it was clear that they were committed to our success.
Throughout the first week, we participated in several sessions as part of the EthForAll hackathon. These sessions were a great learning experience and provided us with the opportunity to work with other fellows and collaborate on exciting projects. The sessions were challenging, but they were also enjoyable, and I found myself constantly learning and growing. I was amazed at how much I could accomplish in just a few short days and was excited to see what the rest of the program had in store for me.
One of the biggest highlights of the week was the two speed run ethereum challenges we were given: a simple NFT example and a decentralized staking app. These challenges provided us with the opportunity to apply our knowledge and put our skills to the test. At first, I was intimidated by the thought of building a decentralized app from scratch, but I was eager to take on the challenge.
However, I quickly encountered some difficulties and found myself stuck at times. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to complete the challenges, but then I remembered the importance of collaboration and reached out to my fellow developers for help. It was amazing how supportive and helpful everyone was. The EIF discord server was a constant source of guidance and I was never alone in my struggles.
Eventually, my issues were resolved and I was able to complete both challenges in a timely manner. The first challenge was a great introductory exercise that provided a quick rundown of how to build a fully decentralized full-stack application. I learned how to deploy smart contracts on a test network and create a frontend on surge. This challenge was a great first step and gave me the confidence I needed to take on the next challenge.
The second challenge, a decentralized staking app, was particularly interesting and taught me a great deal. Writing the smart contract from scratch was an incredible experience and I was thrilled when all my test cases passed. This challenge required me to think critically and creatively, and I was proud of the work I accomplished. I learned how to create a staking mechanism that incentivizes users to hold onto their tokens and earn rewards for doing so. This challenge was a great example of the power of decentralized technology and its potential to revolutionize the way we do things.
The first week of the Ethereum India Fellowship 3.0 was an incredibly enriching experience, and I was constantly amazed by the knowledge and skills I acquired. I was grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and diverse group of people, and I was excited to see what the future held for us all.
Looking forward, I am eager to continue learning and growing as a developer. I am excited to take on new challenges and make a meaningful impact on the Ethereum ecosystem. I am confident that this fellowship will provide me with the skills, knowledge, and experience I need to succeed in the world of blockchain and decentralized technology.
In conclusion, my first week at the Ethereum India Fellowship 3.0 was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. I was honored to be part of such a talented and passionate group.
