My vision is to help children have access to at least a basic form of education. I have seen parents in India spending a lot of money on school fees and then private tutors to make their children capable enough to compete in the University entrance programs. This coaching of children starts from as early as 8th grade or earlier, this puts a load on students and a monetary load on their parents. Some moderate-income households can not even afford to provide their children with a private tutor.

There are machine learning models which could generate text and converse with near human-level intelligence, for instance, OpenAI’s GPT-3 which is available as one of the best NLP models, these machine learning models could be fine-tuned to help children in their education.

I know it’s easier said than done, so as a starting point I am planning to train it to solve the 8th-grade level problems in math and science. There are some data sets available for this kind of training but to be practical research needs to be done that what is the level of difficulty children of a particular age have to go through while pursuing their education.

AI needs to be so interactive so that it could answer the cross-questions and remembers who its students are, certain educational material could be censored to the user based on the age group.

In the broader vision, when 5 years from now the AR and VR headsets would be common, then a mixed reality experience would really help. Since we all know that visual memory is stronger with respect to any others.

In the coming days I’ll start a GitHub repo and demand interested coders, data scientists, and 3D developers to help me start this project, In the beginning, I don’t have any plan to earn money from this rather I am trying to build a decentralized education environment for all, but over time a more intense AI assistant is my vision, something that could help individuals conduct their day to day work, sort of like a personal AI assistant for all, rather than having to use your smartphone phone like today, everybody will have an assistant matching ones personality.
