Marvel heroes can save the universe, it turns out. This fall, Netflix is getting ready to launch Iron Fist, an adaptation of the Marvel comic hero, and will follow that up with the superhero team-up series The Defenders. They're the first original Netflix shows to be announced since the company first got into the original content game two years ago. Each of the shows have legions of loyal fans (not all of whom will be happy about the Netflix intrusion) but they still have a long way to go before we see more street-level heroes get their due. Or at least, some major television shows like we see on superhero shows on broadcast and premium cable. Until then, the Internet has been buzzing with an unofficial Facebook group devoted to these shows. If you haven't seen it yet, join the Facebook group. You will love it.
