SHARE is a protocol built on blockchain that enables creators to choose the price per stream of their audio or video content, distribute the content directly to consumers, make it accessible on any web application, and receive payments instantly when their content is streamed. SHARE has a wide variety of applications including music, video, and podcasts.

Once you’ve created a smart contract, you can start sharing a link with potential consumers. Much like a link that you would share from an application like Spotify or YouTube, the link will provide a visual and/or audio preview in the messaging application. If the consumer selects (taps) on the preview they will be taken directly to the content. With the SHARE Protocol (SHARE), when they arrive at the location of the content they are presented with the option to pay for full access.

This article overviews the process and what to expect when you send text messages that link to your smart contract content on the FORMLESS SHARE Decentralized Application (Formless dApp).

As soon you complete the process of creating and deploying your smart contract, your content will have a unique URL (link) that references its location on the Formless dApp. When you share the link, your content preview will appear in the interface of the consumer’s messaging application (e.g. iMessage on an iPhone). If they click through, they’ll arrive on the Formless dApp page where they can choose to pay for access to the content.

• Copy the link that appears in the address bar of your browser.

• Paste the link into the message field of your messaging application and send.

  → Paste the link you copied into a text message that you’re sending to yourself.

• View the link and preview.

  → Here’s how it appears. This is what the consumer you sent the message will see.

• Select (tap) the preview.

  → You’ll arrive at the Formless dApp where the content is located and have the option to purchase access to the content.

You can share your link wherever you want. This includes social media applications like Twitter, email messages, or communication platforms like Discord. In any of these cases, the way that previews render in the user’s application may vary.
