For decades we have been asking computers questions, and this thirst for knowledge has arguably taught computers more about our objective reality than anyone could have thought possible.
This has led to what we now call Artificial Intelligence, arguably a super intelligence. But what will happen when the tables are turned, and these highly programmed, logic-driven systems start to ask us questions?
What would you ask someone if you already knew everything they knew in terms of objective knowledge? There is not much else besides what we are feeling or thinking, and when you get to the root of many of our thoughts, what you find is something founded in emotion, either positive or negative.
A recent survey found that 57% of teen girls feel persistent sadness or hopelessness, and 30% admit to having contemplated suicide in the last few years, a figure that has risen by 60% over the last 10 years. But the most shocking statistic is that suspected suicide attempts for young girls rose by a staggering 50%.

So how do we fix this? More rockets to Mars? Bigger supercomputers? Faster cars? Maybe instead of claiming every object of desire in our world and exploring the near-infinite depths of space-time, we should stop and take time to reflect and explore something just as vital -- what makes us human, our feelings.
Before we venture out into the darkness, we must first venture within.

Personally, I see a great future for humanity and AI; I see the rise of this new species as an antagonist for our own self-reflection. The spotlight will shine brightly on us and our EI (Emotional Intelligence) as we collect, connect and coin emotionally valuable information. AI will be used to predict market outcomes, elections, what you eat for dinner, what you watch, who you will get along with. Almost every interaction has an emotional association and it's inevitable that this information will be digested by an AI at some point.
The only question you have to ask yourself is: How much are your emotions worth?
