[Moxie] If you only read one thing this week, let it be this. Moxie's critique/impression of web3 and how it is not able to live up to its promise of decentralization, slowness of evolving protocols, and how our mobile and browser reliance is not compatible with a decentralized server layer. Also brings up good points on how Wallets are reliant on a few platforms (i.e. not decentralized).

[Electric Capital] There are no more than 18,000 active developers on Web3 platforms. Small number, but growing rapidly. For comparison, one estimate puts the number of software developers worldwide at about 25M. Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Solana and Bitcoin are the 5 largest Web3 developer ecosystems.

Creator economy landscape

There are a lot of artist NFT projects and companies popping-up wanting to help artists distributed art directly to fans. Lüm, music service claiming to launch an NFT platform for artists built on Flow [link]. They seem to be headlined by Ne-Yo, and say they will launch with 25 artists soon.
