Based on my previous airdrop experiences, I recommend actively using the network. You should be actively making transactions every 1-3 months, and putting in volume through ZigZag to show that you are actively using the network. At the moment there isn’t much to do on zkSync, so there will most likely be a part 2 when the network has matured a bit more.  This guide interacts with both zkSync lite (mainnet v1.0), zksync era (mainnet 2.0), and zksync era (testnet 2.0).

To get funds on to zkSync for the first time you have a few options (Try to use multiple if you can):

1. (Recommended) Oficial zkSync Lite Bridge

2. (Recommended) Official zkSync Era Mainnet Bridge

3. Use orbiter to transfer funds from an L2 such as $ARB or $OP. Orbiter doesn’t have a token.

4. Official ZigZag bridge.

5. Use the cross-chain tab in LayerSwap to Instantly swap between chains/exchanges into zkSync.

(NEW) zkSync ERA Mainnet

1. Add LP to Mute, SyncSwap (NO TOKEN) or some other Exchange in the Ecosystem List

2. Use Orbiter to Bridge (I used orbiter to bridge back and forth from lite to era and Orbiter doesn’t have a token either)

3. Make some swaps on the above DEXs

4. Check the zkSync Ecosystem page for more Smart Contracts you can interact with.

5. Register a name on ZKNS and set it as your primary domain

6. Register a name on Era Name Service and set it as your primary domain

7. Buy or mint an NFT on MintSquare

8. Use

1. Sign up and log in to Pinata Cloud

2. Press the “Add files” button and select “File” on the drop down

3. Upload your image and copy the Content ID (CID) for the file you uploaded

4. Head over to the NFT tab on the ZKSync wallet.

5. Press mint and paste your Content ID (CID) from Pinata Cloud

6. You can also mint one through MintSquare. (Do this as well)

7. Here are known marketplaces so far:

   1. TofuNFT

   2. Mint Square

   3. SpaceFi

   4. Kreatorland

1. Make Swaps on ZigZag. IMPORTANT: MORE VOLUME/TRANSACTIONS = BIGGER AIRDROP.

2. Create a checkout link using zkSync checkout and use an alt wallet to pay yourself.

4. (IMPORTANT) Track your total volume on zkSync here.

1. Create a zkSync Lite wallet on Argent (My referral link) Argent does not have a token either.

2. Load up your argent wallet. You can do this by pressing “Add Funds”. You can just send funds directly using the 0x address, or use the Argent link generated {username}.argent.xyz on your PC and load up funds from your Metamask.

3. If you have funds on the Ethereum network in the Argent app you can go to “Transfer” on the bottom, press “Send” then “Send to my Argent accounts” and select “zkSync”

4. Once you have funds on zkSync:

   1. You can make some swap $ETH into $DAI or $USDC

   2. You can press the “Invest” tab. Put some $ETH into any of the products in the ETH section. (I put $100 worth of each into each one). Then put some stablecoins into the other vaults.

1. Head over to Gitcoin Grants. Click View all grants.

2. Add a bunch of open source projects you enjoy to your cart. (I would do 5 of them)

3. Contribute whatever you feel comfortable with losing for a long time. (I did .01 $ETH each) VOLUME MATTERS.

4. Select zkSync Checkout and complete the process.
