Have you ever admired others? Maybe a super star like Gu Ailing or a billionaire, like Bill Gates. I think most of you do. And so do I.

But why are they famous? I think they have not only unique skills, but also the spirit of perseverance.

       When I was six-year-old, my mom wanted me to study drum. After 10 lessons, I quit. I thought it was too difficult. My mom encouraged me to try it again. However, I didn’t think I could master it. A few years later, I watched a music performance, the people who were playing the drum looked awesome. At that moment, I thought to myself, if I had tried harder when I was learning drum, I might have become an excellent drum player, just like those guys! I also watched an interview of a drum player. According to him, being a professional drummer is cool and the journey is long and hard. It takes great perseverance to be like him.

       I asked my mom to give me a second chance. Now I’m much busier than I was before. I forgot some of drum’s movements, but I learned one thing that I would believe in for the rest of my life –- the spirit of perseverance.

As long as we have perseverance, we will finally make great achievements.
