Your higher consciousness is not limited to anything, it only believes what you believe. If you want to create a different reality for yourself, you must first figure out what your beliefs are. If you are angry with someone, it means that you have an opinion or stereotype about him or her that caused the feeling, not the other way around. Emotions depend very much on what you believe. As a result, you begin to feel a certain emotion because of your beliefs, and then you begin to feel a corresponding thought, which reinforces your original belief. These thoughts may (or may not) prompt you to take action and manifest them in your life. Let's say your new friend is supposed to have dinner with you, you're all dressed up and looking forward to spending time with him, but he doesn't show up. First you feel disappointed, then you feel defeated, because you have prepared carefully. Until you finally get mad because you think it was because he forgot your date that you were upset. You may also have another reaction: You worry about your new friend's condition, wondering if he was in a car accident, and the thought of the worst makes you nervous and anxious. You can also have a third reaction: accept the moment completely, without any subjective projection of his lateness.

This reaction does not arouse any emotion in you. In either case, it is your thoughts and beliefs that form the structure of your experience. All circumstances are fundamentally neutral; circumstances themselves have no meaning beyond the meaning you assign to them. You are influenced by your beliefs, channelling your neutral energy into certain feelings, thoughts, and emotions that create certain life experiences. Beliefs cause people to feel and act in certain ways, involuntarily. Trying to avoid, suppress, or change thoughts, feelings, or emotions that you hate is a waste of time because the underlying beliefs are still there. Only by living with these thoughts, feelings and emotions can you touch the beliefs that triggered them in the first place. When you see them as neutral, you can add any meaning to them. Instead of saying "This is causing me a lot of trouble," ask "How does this help me?" By mentally viewing seemingly negative situations as positive, you activate and manifest the ability to create a new reality for you and the world that belongs to you. Your beliefs, and why they are formed, remain in your consciousness. Many people mistakenly believe that their beliefs are forever locked away in the past. Unless they can change this belief, they will not grow and develop. All the faith we can have is with us all the time. Now is the time to test those beliefs. Let go of limiting beliefs like "I can't do this job because I'm not smart enough," "Life can't be perfect," "We all grow old and die." It is also time to realize that any idea we hold as truth is simply a belief we hold. It is these beliefs that create and shape our personal reality.
