There is a new wallet guide here, I highly recommend reading it.

LILI has previously talked about a wallet solution commonly used in BTC L2 to support native BTC users. More details

So here we mainly talk about how to use the wallet smoothly on Merlin to experience various DAPPs.
Let me start with the conclusion: you must use the Metamask Wallet!!! Gas can be adjusted and transparent! More importantly, the EVM ecosystem has verified it for many years.

The logo looks like this and is found in the lower right corner of most Merlin Dapps if you use BTC wallet-connected.

Specifically refers to https://meson.fi/, please pay attention to phishing websites when using
Dapp recommendations for operating from AA wallet to Metamask wallet are as follows:
After all, when you first use Merlin, most of your BTC will go from here to L2, which is also the staking website.
Because you can directly connect to the EVM address (Metamask or OKX)
Just find a Merlin Dapp (recommended as above), connect it to your particle wallet, and send assets to your Metamask wallet (For safe points, you can first connect the wallet to the swap, and it can be automatically added & switched to the merlin chain network)。

Then wait for the AA wallet work to be completed. The waiting time here is unknown, for two reasons:
AA wallet processing progress (because it is not transparent enough, you have no way to know as of 2024-03-22)
The index of the Merlin chain is theoretically very fast when it comes to Merlin chain, but it does not rule out that the index is slow.
You can check the balance of the Metamask wallet in half an hour
Wait for the assets in the Metamask wallet to arrive, and then you can completely get rid of the AA wallet. A series of subsequent experiences can be interacted with using your Metamask Wallet.
Cheap, fast and transparent
If you only have BTC in hand, first bridge the assets into the Merlin chain through the official bridge, and then transfer them to the Metamask wallet to enjoy the Merlin dapp journey.
Here is another deposit plan, through BNB Smart Chain, which can be summarized in one sentence:
First, withdraw BTC from Binance to Metamask (Metamask here refers to the wallet you will use in the Merlin ecosystem), withdraw money through the BSC chain, and then use meson to cross from the BSC chain to the Merlin chain. It is speedy and cheap. , consider your safety.
BTCB’s contract address:https://explorer.bnbchain.org/asset/BTCB-1DE

There are two things to note:
The handling fee for transferring BSC to Merlin is BNB, which is about 0.05 u. Remember to prepare some BNB for gas.
You may encounter a lack of liquidity on the BTC bridge from Bsc to Merlin. You can find a way to contact the meson official to add a pool.
In summary, the optimal operation path is BTC anywhere else (through the BTC chain) -> Binance -> Mention Metamask (through the Bsc chain) -> meson.fi across to the Merlin chain.
PS: When operating, pay attention to checking whether the chain and address are consistent. Every wrong step will be a loss.
Use the official partner bridge https://meson.fi/ Just bridge your other assets into Merlin, and use Metamask for subsequent DApp operations. The operation is the same as using meson to cross BTC above.

A: The AA wallet is blocked when executing the contract. It cannot be resubmitted and can only wait. There is no other way.

Ps: Metamask also has some advanced operations, such as canceling transactions
A: Troubleshooting method
First, confirm whether the address in your OKX that you expect to display the BTC balance is the same as the address in your Metamask;
If there are multiple wallets, you need to confirm that there is indeed a balance on the Merlin chain corresponding to your OKX. There are two possibilities for the address:
The EVM address of the particle wallet mapped by the BTC wallet in OKX you are using
Confirm the EVM addresses in the OKX wallet one by one
You can verify them one by one in Merlinswap. This Dapp supports many wallets. Especially for OKX, you can distinguish between BTC connection and OKX connection.

Guess the reason (purely personal guess)
OKX is a comprehensive wallet that contains many chains and corresponding addresses. In theory, it can automatically identify and connect to the corresponding addresses.
Specific to OKX's connection to Merlin, there should be adjustments. At first, it was connected to the BTC address by default and then mapped out the AA wallet. Now the default is the EVM address, and there is no AA wallet;
(As for whether this strategy is done by OKX or DAPP, I don’t know, and it’s just my guess)
As a result, although OKX is used, there are two EVM addresses corresponding to Merlin.
