Approaching the midpoint of the year, I have three projects I'm excited about. One builds on the past, one exists in a perpetual present, and one looks to the future. This is about the perpetual present. Also, plums!

My original plan for a reconstructed lost story from the Epic Cycle was to self-publish it in the next six to nine months. But why wait? My revised plan is still to self-publish the book, but in the meantime, to drop a web serial edition that starts on Monday, June 2nd.

The first three episodes of SOME AMAZONS are out, a retelling of the Epic Cycle rhapsody that once followed directly after the end of Homer's Iliad, reconstructed from ancient sources and modern archaeology.

You probably noticed that I stopped sending poems out as daily newsletters a while ago because I didn't want anyone to feel that I was spamming them with poetry, although there are worse things to be spammed with. As of today, through two solid months of 2025, I haven't missed a day of "More Tomorrow!"

April writing brought a flowering word count, but the biggest win came from nailing down just a genre for RESIDUE OF AN ESPECIALLY POOR VINTAGE...

Releasing today, on this 3,208th anniversary of the sacking of Troy, is SOME AMAZONS Episode 5, "Be Like Thersites," centering a common Greek soldier.

I'm still plugging away at my dreampunk novel and a new project I'm especially fired up about. In the meantime, I have two reading recommendations for you. DRECK by Cliff Jones, Jr. and PARTHENEIA by Kassandra Flamouri.

A conference, a family event, and a couple of travel days can't stop the daily practice of creativity. Sharing, sometimes, will need to work on a delay. Or maybe this periodic release is actually an improvement? Let me know!
