What are World of Men?

People often find it challenging to speak honestly or critically due to fear of repercussions. However, through humor, comedic figures have had a certain level of immunity that allowed them to push boundaries and speak candidly. World of Men pokes fun at the narrative that World of Women is a collection for women. In reality, it was a collection created by a man and made men fantastically rich. The goal of World of Men is to immortalize this ironic piece of history forever on the blockchain.

I remember how this all started. A year back, I was in a Twitter space where this actress named Reese Witherspoon, who bought a World of Women, was talking about how empowering it was to finally have a project that represented women and how wealthy it would make them. At that moment, a thought popped in my head which made me chuckle. I knew Pranksy, the famous crypto artist, had bought lots of them for nothing and sold them for a hefty profit. Among small circles of investors, the word out was sell them to women at a premium later. It was ironic how a collection that purports to empower women is a scheme to make men rich at their expense.

I originally thought it would be funny if the identity of each WoW holder could be unmasked like the end of each Scoobie-Doo episode. After which everyone looks around and sees a room full of guys who had the same idea.

I wanted to build something fresh and imaginative. Goodness knows there’s enough derivative projects out there and I don’t want to contribute to that. Since the nature of this project will be criticized no matter what, I wanted to capitalize on the outrage and make the most outlandish project I can. I want to build something people will talk about. Something people will publicly distance themselves from but secretly support. In this day end age, there’s nothing more controversial I can do than to state the truth and question the narrative.

To kick things off, World of Men introduces a new minting contract. Rather than inserting Eth into a contract, participants insert a World of Women NFT (WoW) or World of Women Galaxy and the Male Toxicity Serum token to receive a World of Men. After the update, the original WoW will be securely stored within the contract until the original contributor recovers them.

Choosing a symbol to represent this project was difficult but the underlying reason why I chose Gigachad is this. Internet memes have become a contagious way to spread ideas. By incorporating Gigachad, the most recognizable symbol of masculinity, it taps into this potential for World of Men to easily message itself in the existing NFT community. It also serves as a connection point for individuals who are more familiar with internet culture and may not have been initially drawn to the NFT space. In doing so, Gigabrad helps bridge the gap between digital and NFT community.

At this stage, the World of Men NFT collection is still an idea in development, and finding the right artist is a crucial step in bringing the project to life. If you’re interested in joining us, my Twitter handle is @KevinInspiresMe.
