I’m not a writer. I’ve had Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter, but I don’t post. I’ve always kept my real thoughts guarded. It isn’t that I think they are all that special, even though some are. It’s that I think they are naïve and underdeveloped, not ready for anyone to hear. It’s that I think they are dumb, unworthy of other people’s TIME.
I got into the crypto space roughly 10 years ago, right after that pizza was purchased with Bitcoin. I thought it was super cool and, being 17, loved the idea of the silk road. I never purchased from the silk road, but I did purchase some bitcoin back then. I remember hopping on localbitcoins to see if I could find someone willing to meet up and exchange cash. I remember it feeling so unpolished and unknown. A few years later, we had our run up to ~$1000. I was a broke college student, and by broke I mean BROKE. I sold my bags to pay for my education. Little did I know I could be retired right now if I didn’t.
But, let’s get to the point. Crypto is inevitable. It isn’t a matter of if anymore, but when. Not because people will make money or it has the best execution when compared to its competitors, but because of trust. Trust will be in short supply in the near future - we have been lied to by our Government’s, manipulated by the media, and exploited by “trusted” financial institutions. I find it funny that something everyone has been so skeptical about, something that has been slandered as a scam for years, will be our saving grace. It will start with silver and gold bugs, harping about how they were right, that precious metals have actual value. No one is going to take their coin purse of silver to the store. They’re going to tap their iPhone like they do right now, except they are going to pay with crypto, something they have complete and full control over.
I welcome the dawn of this new age.
