Each of us has heard about such a sport as ball dancing. Currently, a huge number of kids and adults are fond of it. This kind of sport is a group of pair dances with the participation of a lady and a man. The name of this dance sport is associated with the venue for ballroom dancing competitions. At the first time of the appearance of such dances, it was possible to conduct them strictly in ballrooms with a flat floor lined with parquet. Today, a group of ballroom dances is called dancesport or sporting dance. Today, competitions are organized at the world level in 10 varieties of ballroom dancing, which, in turn, are divided into two large groups - Latin American and European.
The Latin American dance program involves samba, rumba, jive and others. Requirements for dancers' costumes are not as strict as in European ball dance competitions. Usually these are tight suits with open cutouts and the minimum length of dresses for ladies. European ball dance is tango, all waltz varieties, Viennese waltz, all types of foxtrot. There are strict requirements for the appearance of dancers. Men must wear black or navy-blue tailcoats. Women use bright, tight dresses that attract the attention of the judges.
