A world record is the highest recorded achievement in a particular sport, in this case, track and field athletics. Usually, world-class records in a given sport discipline are recorded by the IAAF during the competition with the participation of official judges. The concept of the highest world achievement is also universally known. This is a record in a sport not included in the standard list of IAAF approved track and field sports. In order to set a world record in athletics, it is important to comply with a number of important conditions.
First of all, before the start of the competition, each athlete undergoes a thorough doping control, in accordance with the rules established and approved by the IAAF Anti-Doping Committee. In the case of an individual sport, at least three athletes may participate. For team discipline - this is at least three teams. The equipment, surface and nature of the lane markings must strictly comply with IAAF criteria. Athletes of the same sex are allowed to take part in one start. Athletes from one country participate in relay races. In disciplines of a sprint nature (up to 200 meters) and horizontal jumps, the tailwind component should be not more than 2 m/s, and for athletics all-around - no more than 4 m/s. Thus, the weather also plays a significant role in the success of the competitions.
