The Insight

$GM fellas!

Back for another post about INSIGHT that will change your life. This is a very important piece of writing.

Let’s begin.

So "sight" is what you get when you use your eyes. But In-sight is much more than just sight. Insight is something you can only feel or experience directly when you are "in" something.

Insight is KNOWING.

👇

"When you know, you know." - "Sometimes, you just know."

Knowing is weird, isn't it?

So what exactly is knowing?

In my previous post, I was explaining how uneasiness, or suffering, is the absence of insight just as how shadow is the absence of light.

Imagine you are walking downstairs to the kitchen. It is pitch dark down there. Suddenly, you hear some footsteps.

Could it be a thief?

You grab a baseball bat, ready to defend yourself (and attack if needed).

You silently reached the switch... Click! Lights on!

The thief turns out to be ... your older brother, who's on a goring diet, sneaking for some unhealthy, crispy snacks.

That is insight, knowing. Direct and Almost instant like flipping a light switch.

Some say it’s intuition. It is this quick and almost light-struck feeling of certainty that something is true, or something WILL definitely happen without even taking the first steps.

Our Insight or knowing has everything to do with our own nature of coming from the Light of the Sun.

I don't want to go too deep in the physics of Light, and I don't want to immaturely mingle years of science together but we need to be aware that the universe as we see right now is a continuous and complete system.

We are merely segmenting it into categories such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, economy, social sciences etc. with different tools in each field in order to understand it easier. But segmenting the universe has its limits.

Once you go direct and you use your own body to study your own body, you are getting insight without having to segmenting the world. Your own body IS already the accumulation of billions of years of data of the universe's evolution.

While having tools allow you to do things a normal person cannot, improving your insight, your ability to "know", inevitably requires you to be ready to change your life for it.

Nonetheless, I will try to explain the distinction of knowing versus studying using my superficial and fragmented internet - sci-fi movie physics. LOL.

According to Fermat's Principle of Least Time, Light already knows which path it will take before it even decides on a path, and such path is always the path that take it the least amount of time to travel.

The sci-fi movie Arrival (2015) and the sci-fi short story it based on, “Story of Your Life”(1998) illustrate this the best. They feature an alien race that can experience their birth, death and everything in their life all at the same time.

This unique characteristic reflects in their technology such as their writing system, which does not read and write from left to right like ours. It is a quick form of communication, where you just see a calligraphy and you get it instantly. The main character, upon understanding the language of the alien, also experience a change in her body and mind, able to perceive time non-linearly.

Let me give a another example.

Consider the Schrodinger’s cat experiment. A cat exposed to radiation in a box has 50:50 chance of being dead. So is it dead or a live?

It is clear that opening the box would give us the definite answer. But it would require us to:

  • Spend more time and effort to open the box.

  • Interfere with the closed system that is the box.

So the fastest and most optimal conclusion we can make right when the question is asked is: The cat is both Dead and Alive. This is quantum mechanics.

Our ability to know, in my opinion, stems from the fact that our brain is a very powerful quantum computer and it can even get more powerful if we know the right practice.

In the last post, I shared that there are eight aspects of life that we should be aware of if we want to improve our insight, our ability to “know”, starting with our mind and body. These Eight aspects are:

  1. Our View of Reality

  2. Our Thoughts and Rational

  3. Our Ways of Communication

  4. Our Actions

  5. Our Career and Livelihood

  6. Our Efforts and Motivation

  7. Our Mindfulness and Awareness

  8. Our Concentration

The goal would be to move our life in a direction that can increase the calmness inside despite what is going on outside. This is like maintaining the right conditions with minimal disturbances for a quantum computer to work properly in the physical world.

I will go into more detail regarding the Eight Aspects. It is of course from Buddhism, if you notice.

But that's it for today. Thanks for reading.

I will try to improve my content over time. Will try to be more concise and more illustrative. Let's see how this will turn out.

Yes, this is the other me. If you like content like this, consider a follow.
