Yunnan has fully established a five-level forest head responsibility system

At the same time, high-power electric vehicles are uniformly equipped as vehicles for forest patrol and protection, which greatly improves the enthusiasm and work efficiency of management and protection personnel.

Since 2021, Yunnan has promoted high-level and effectively implemented the principles of practical responsibility, detailed objectives, specific tasks and practical measures. Driven by the provincial forest leaders, forest leaders at all levels focus on going deep into the responsibility area to carry out forest patrol, supervise all levels to grasp the forest leader system in an all-round, all regions and the whole process, and timely find and solve key and difficult problems.

At present, a five level forest head system at the provincial, state (city), county (city, district), township (street) and village (community) levels has been fully established, with a total of 36999 forest heads at all levels in the province. From the provincial level to the county level, a mechanism for issuing the “order of the chief Forest Officer” shall be established. It is the first in China to establish a forest head supervision system with responsible comrades of the people’s congresses and CPPCC at the provincial, state (city), county (city, district) levels as supervisors, so as to effectively solve the problem of overlapping “athletes and referees”.

In 2022, Yunnan will continue to pay equal attention to managing, protecting, increasing and living green, and further promote the forest head system.
