DeFi platform EigenLayer has deployed its re-staking protocol on the Ethereum mainnet. The protocol allows ETH staking users to re-stake by depositing liquid staking tokens such as Lido stETH (stETH), Rocket Pool ETH (rETH), and Coinbase Wrapped staking ETH (cbETH). The protocol currently only supports liquid restaking (liquid restaking) and native restaking (native restaking). Restaking allows staking ETH to be used on other protocols in exchange for protocol fees and rewards. So far, EigenLabs, the developer of EigenLayer, has received a total of US$64.5 million in financing, with a valuation of US$500 million, including a US$50 million Series A financing completed in March this year.
