What the hell is Cupcake Protocol
&& why am I hungry? In short Make IRL + Web3 a really real possibility The how, the what, n the where is what makes this entire thing way more enjoyable Lets dive into what it is && How I think it effects the market / SOL.
How does this work? Why does this matter? Who cares? We'll break this down. Think a QR code. You touch it with your phone, but now you get an NFT instead of a restaurant menu or some other information This is adoption. This is onboarding
Don't you need a wallet? Do I need the app? No mfer, you input a phone number, that ties to a wallet cupcake makes on the spot. From here, you can move to your wallets directly. Giving an easier onboarding process than trying to explain phantom, buying sol, etc etc
Sure Sim swaps, phone swaps, security risks etc. Its not decentralized, whatever Who Cares? Honestly. Mass adoption will not come from decentralization. The bigger part of this is to get MORE PEOPLE into the space, then get them familiar with proper practices.
Where would this possibly work? What if i told you... everywhere. Fast Eddy, one of the creators of this protocol, shows just the power of this. On the back of a birthday card, an NFT is attainable. Now, think larger IRL events IRL items etc
This past month, Lollapalooza happened One of the largest music festivals in the United States An entire Solana tent, n what was dope, a scavenger hunt around the festival People could participate at will, but if they did would receive NFTs based on IRL completions.
Now for my personal thoughts on it all This is so good for the eco system You do not need to know what an NFT is You can still get one You can still participate && if its worth ANYTHING, you may have a user for life But the biggest thing is getting them in.
When more users are able to get into a technology, from the most basic standpoint... it will peak interest it will have them asking questions && even if in that moment, only 1 of the thousand people stays... thats a start. in order to win, you have to start.
I think that the biggest thing for SOL, is getting more people familiar with the pure fact that there are OTHER options in Crypto. Many people understand from a 10,000ft view, what crypto is They don't fully get NFTs But if they had one... they just might So why not try?
