Beginnings | IkarisDaily #49

It’s been a while… hasn’t it. My last entry was roughly 3 weeks ago. What happened? Well…

After a great deal of reflection, I think that the 50 hours was getting too frustrating for me. I was sharing back then, that I was unable to find relevant topics in my Twitter searches. Eventually, it just became really frustrating. You may remember, I didn’t do much work on the 50 hours in April.

That doesn’t mean that I’ve left Web3 and NFT Land. I was away from Twitter, Discord and the space for a while. However, I came back a week back. Matter of fact is, I know Web3 is going to be big. I know I have to be a part of it and I have to continue learning about it. What changed is that I don’t believe that my optimal role in the world and Web3 space is as a thought leader or Web3 regular. In fact, I don’t know where my role is — I lack the experience in diff situations to be able to make that decision. Thus, I don’t plan on continuing the 100% focus on The Ikaris Project. I’m diversifying and getting experience in different areas as well.

I am continuing with NFTs in particular. I have leapfrogged the 50 hours stage and am moving into deep dives on projects. I decided that the PFP niche is what I’ll go with. It’s simple enough and it’s new — All the info on what is quality, was developed recently. I can properly educate myself on it, with information that is reliable and accessible.

With Web3, I want to continue my education on it, but I don’t plan on doing much concrete work with it. I want to continue learning about the different ideas and innovations, so I will try my best to stay up-to-date.

The past few months were incredible. They were enriching and fun. As life goes on, situations change. As a result of my situation changing, I’ve taken a decision that will benefit me. I have spent a great deal of time on this space and I can’t see myself stopping — especially with the amount of belief I have in the technology. All I’ve decided is that Web3 will be a part of my life, instead of it’s core.

Concretely speaking, this is very likely the final IkarisDaily. If I restart in the future, it’ll be a different thing. However, I will work on different articles. I’ve already started the Deep Dive stage and am looking into a project. If it turns out to be quality, I’ll be sure to post my analysis and ideas on it. I may or may not buy into it, but let’s see how the analysis goes. If it turns out to be real quality, there will be no reason not to buy it. Along with such project analyses, I may also write topical articles when certain subjects catch my attention and I spend time researching them.

On Twitter, I may be much less active as well. In general, I don’t spend much time on my socials. I used to take time out for my Twitter activity. I’ll drop in and out on Twitter, similar to my different Discord communities, but I don’t plan to be there regularly. It’ll limit the new friends I can make but this decision does align with my overarching goal, so I am optimistic about it.

Let’s look forward to where I go from here!
