Terror rapes the deepest vestiges of my soul
Like vines choking a mighty elm
I hide from sleep, and it’s deadly dwell
does not tempt me easy to its realm
Cold company gathers, to remind
the bell must be alarmed
“Keep quiet, cheeky devils” said I,
They know I am easily charmed
Countries quake, oceans drain
I must have cursed too loud
Devils cackle, my feet are tamed
Closeness, that deafening sound!
Yet when that faces did at last appear,
I found no one else but I, in here.
