Scroll.io: A Native zkEVM Scaling Solution for Ethereum
IntroEthereum is the most popular and widely used smart contract platform in the world. It enables developers to create decentralized applications (DApps) that run on a global network of nodes without intermediaries or censorship. However, Ethereum also faces some challenges, such as scalability, high gas fees, and long confirmation times. These issues limit the potential of Ethereum to support more users and use cases. To address these challenges, many projects have been working on scaling s...

Solidity vs. Golang: Which one is better?
We want to understand which of the two mentioned technologies can better meet our needs. Let's go straight to the point; Let's write a simple project with the help of both technologies and have a small comparison of them at the end. It’s a simple project that is written in Solidity and GoLang:A simple bank smart contract that allows users to enroll, deposit, and withdraw Ether. The contract also rewards the first three users who enroll with 10 Ether each. The Solidity code for the sma...

A bug in Intract | All my XPs are lost!
All my XPs are lost on Intract.io! About 4 days ago, I logged into the Interact site with my Discord account and noticed that my Discord account was not connected to my account. my account on the Interact site was synced with my Twitter. So in the Intract profile section, I synced my Twitter to the current account, I expected that by doing this, my XPs would be revealed and my Twitter account would be synced to my wallet along with the Discord account; But when I did this, not only my XPs did...

ZigZag Exchange is a decentralized orderbook exchange that uses ZK-Rollup technology to provide fast, cheap and secure trading on Ethereum. ZigZag was the first project to launch on zkSync 1.0 mainnet, now zkSync Lite, in November 202112. Since then, ZigZag has been offering its users a smooth trading experience with minimal slippage and thick orderbooks3. ZigZag also participated in one of the biggest airdrops in crypto history, rewarding its early users with ZKS tokens4.

However, ZigZag has always aimed to be more than just a zkSync Lite DEX. ZigZag has been eagerly waiting for the launch of zkSync 2.0: zkSync Era, the next generation of ZK-Rollup that supports smart contracts and EVM compatibility. zkSync Era promises to bring more scalability, security, and functionality to the Ethereum ecosystem.
zkSync Era’s Alpha mainnet went live in October 2022 and has been upgrading ever since in different stages4. The current version of zkSync Era is still the Alpha version, which means it is not fully ready for production use. ZigZag has been closely following the development of zkSync Era and testing its features on the testnet.
However, ZigZag has not been able to launch on zkSync Era yet due to a technical limitation. ZigZag relies on EIP-712 signatures for its order book mechanism, which requires access to the block.timestamp function. This function is not yet supported by zkSync Era, which means ZigZag cannot operate as an orderbook DEX on Era4.

ZigZag is in constant communication with Matter Labs, the team behind zkSync, and they have assured that they are working on adding support for block.timestamp function as soon as possible4. ZigZag is confident that this issue will be resolved soon and that it will be able to launch on zkSync Era with full functionality.
When ZigZag launches on zkSync Era, it will bring many new features and benefits to its users. Some of these features include:
ZigZag is excited about the future of the zkSync Era and its potential to revolutionize the Ethereum ecosystem. ZigZag is committed to being the best orderbook DEX on ZK-Rollups and providing its users with a superior trading experience. ZigZag thanks its users for their patience and support and invites them to stay tuned for more updates on its launch on zkSync Era.
