First things first- I want to say that this year has been incredible by all accounts. The year started out with some uncertainty, followed by hope, fear, new opportunities, and a chance to build the opportunity of a lifetime.
2022 started off as any other year except I was a VP of Sales at a mortgage startup that I have helped grow and scale to new heights but unfortunately the owners of the organization took on one too many challenges during a transitional period in the mortgage landscape.
From rate increases to a slowed demand of new housing and the end of rate and term refinancing.
This meant that I had to steer the ship to safety but made it clear that I needed to get out of the mortgage industry.
And so I did.
During this time I began to dabble hard in the Web3 world meeting founders across the world and jumping into exciting projects.
My passions led me to volunteering my time in DAOS and so many Discord groups. I am not kidding - I think I joined just about every Discord link I could. There is a reason why there is a cap on the amount of Discords you can join.
From there I applied to multiple jobs where I found it significantly harder to land a job.
A couple of job offers came my way but in the end I realized that I was not going to move the needle based on the amount of income I was looking for and my lack of technical experience.
So I went back to a full time job as head of sales in Web2. Where I helped the company go from 60 transactions a month to 180 a month in less than half a year by developing systems, onboarding a strong sales team, and standardizing processes. The average transaction was $230,000 so you can imagine how happy the Founders were.
But then - our largest hedge fund buyers stopped purchasing our assets.
And this slowed our progress greatly.
This is when I decided to throw a hail-mary and bet 100% on myself.
In Q4 of 2022 I became the co-founder of Web3 Recruiting Agency.
And while I am still doing what I love
Helping onboard top candidates
Meeting with global founders
Developing processes and SOPs
Forming drip campaigns by leveraging data scraping
Creating talent pool and service marketplace
I believe that the best is yet to come!
