Hello everyone! Today, I’m bringing you Second IDO platform analysis. Chain GPT
To be honest, the market has not been great recently. Not too long ago, ETH dropped over 20%, falling all the way back to $2,100. Fortunately, prices have been slowly climbing again. Let’s hope ETH makes a strong comeback in the second half of the year. This year, Solana has been outperforming ETH overall.
Now, let's get back to the Launchpad sector. During bear markets, Launchpad tokens tend to drop even more dramatically. Like I mentioned before, Launchpad tokens are similar to leveraged tokens. In bull markets, they often outperform mainstream coins, offering better wealth-building potential. But in bear markets, they also tend to fall harder, especially since they lack strong use cases.
That said, I still really like the Launchpad Token. If we see another major bull run, I believe Launchpads will perform well.
Now, let’s dive into today’s project: Chain GPT.

From a social media perspective, Chain GPT is quite impressive, with over 1 million followers. The engagement with their posts is solid as well. Chain GPT stands out as one of the top-tier projects, second only to Seedly.
Unlike Seedly, Chain GPT has shared some of its fundraising details. Although we don't know the exact amount, I estimate it’s between $1 million to $3 million. Well-known backers like DWF Labs (despite its controversial reputation) and Pools Ventures from the Launchpad sector are involved. Having such backing is a positive, but the project also faces the usual token release challenges.

Data shows that the public and private sale tokens from the IDO platform are almost fully released. The vesting period is between 10 and 17 months. Chain GPT launched on April 10, 2023, and we are now at the 17-month mark, meaning most of the sell pressure has likely been absorbed.

Early investors in the private and seed rounds still have tokens locked, with vesting periods of 21 months and 27 months respectively. This means their release will finish in January and July 2025. While this is something to watch, the overall token supply left to be released isn’t that large, so the impact should be minimal. In the mini-bull run earlier, GPT saw a 10x increase, outperforming other Launchpad tokens, which is a positive sign.

Chain GPT is a token that has had a rough start. It launched in 2023, right in the middle of a bear market, and with liquidity drying up, the token price hit a low of $0.05. As Bitcoin started to pick up towards the end of the year, CGPT surged to $0.50, marking a nearly 10x increase. However, it has since dropped by around 80%, currently trading at $0.12. The volatility in the crypto space is truly wild.

Now, let's review the projects Chain GPT has launched on its platform. To evaluate a Launchpad, you need to look at the quality of the projects they’ve supported. Chain GPT didn't catch the last big bull cycle, so there aren’t any extreme GameFi projects listed. Instead, most of their projects are infrastructure-related, which is a more stable category. The top project, ATHECH, is a good example from their platform, and its price has remained relatively stable.

While Chain GPT hasn't listed any projects that skyrocketed in price, they’ve supported solid infrastructure projects with decent user bases and visibility. However, crypto is heavily influenced by market cycles, so even the best projects won’t perform well in a poor cycle. Likewise, a subpar project can still soar in the right conditions.
Overall, Chain GPT has backed some good projects, many of which have decent community size and fundraising backgrounds. It has launched more projects than most platforms, which is one reason I recommend it in this analysis. Both Chain GPT and Seedly are standout platforms in the space.

Chain GPT offers four levels of participation:

Tier 1: 2,000 GPT (allocation weight: 1)
Tier 2: 20,000 GPT (allocation weight: 4)
Tier 3: 50,000 GPT (allocation weight: 10)
Tier 4: 200,000 GPT (allocation weight: 40)
GPT has dual weighting based on staking duration:
Staking 1,000 $CGPT for 45 days earns you 1,000 Tier points.
Staking 1,000 $CGPT for 90 days earns you 1,300 Tier points.
Staking 1,000 $CGPT for 180 days earns you 1,500 Tier points.
Staking 1,000 $CGPT for 365 days earns you 2,000 Tier points.
By staking for 1 year, you can earn double the points, allowing you to reach Tier 4 with just 100,000 tokens. However, token prices could skyrocket during a bull market, so locking your tokens for a year may be frustrating if you can’t unstake. I recommend staking for a maximum of 90 days, or 45 days if the market is turning bullish.
Tier 1: 2,000 GPT (~$252), participation amount ~$10 per project.
Tier 2: 20,000 GPT (~$2,500), participation amount ~$40 per project.
Tier 3: 50,000 GPT (~$6,311), participation amount ~$100 per project.
Tier 4: 200,000 GPT (~$25,000), participation amount ~$400 per project.
The biggest challenge with GPT is the high cost—getting into the highest tier requires $25,000, which is steep, especially in this market. Both Seedly and Chain GPT require significant investment to reach the upper tiers, and it’s expensive.
In today’s analysis, we’ve looked at Chain GPT’s token, social media presence, early investor release schedules, past project performance, and the required token amounts for participation. This is the second project I’ve recommended. There are around 10 high-quality Launchpad platforms, with four or five being truly exceptional. While the market isn't great right now and Launchpad tokens have underperformed, I still find the Launchpad sector exciting. Many platforms now offer full refunds if projects underperform, which is a great feature.
Let’s hope this sector can take off again!
