“If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together” - Unknown.

Thinking about the above quote brings a lot to mind in the context of my journey through Web3.

Going fast alone is probably useful for the internal journey to seeking Self-Realization; to make sense of the different factors, risks and rewards involved when it comes to investing time and money into novel ideas.

But going far without a community - does that make for an arduous journey, really? Community helps I guess especially when trying to learn about DeFi or other Web3 concepts. Discord DAOs and Twitter Spaces have been the staple for learning so far, and the flux of information and rain of Alpha has left me drenched with questions and insufficient capital.

Doesn’t the common quip “DYOR” imply some sort of personal, individual, alone work?

Well, guess today’s another day to figure things out. Optimism has been doing a lot of interesting things - recently with BASE - and so it might help to learn a bit more about the L2 protocols and get involved in some way.
