It’s my first time feeling the market go red.
It’s a strange thing - not just seeing the reactions and unfolding stories about the crash - but empathizing with the different people active and reactive in the space.
A book I bought in eagerness but hardly read with enthusiasm, is Nasim Taleb’s Antifragile.
From the little I know of it, it explores the differences between fragile, robust and antifragile systems, and why both people and businesses need to learn how to be better with uncertainty.
How do we unlearn the hopeful certainty of financial reward from speculative markets whose stories we cannot entirely decipher?
How do we unlearn the trust and hope we give to social media salesfolk, who promise profit and allay our fears of loss and failure?
For the love of green candlesticks, huh!?
