I minted my first NFT today @viamirror. It was fun, a bit scary, and also exhilarating.
Love & War is the first piece from the poetry NFT series. The idea was to discuss the price-mania and candlestick watching that came from my first introduction to crypto - HODLing.
While the allure of making money was the initial hook that baited me into web3, I soon realised I wasn’t playing as much of a role as I wanted in contributing to the space. I also began chasing coins and feeling intense FOMO; there was always a new coin to invest in - SUPER CHEAP - with the hope of mooning.
My first loss in crypto was more from my impatience than market price fluctuations. I got so impatient waiting over a month for an uncleared withdrawal from my wallet to my bank account, that I fell for a Twitter phishing scam that cleaned out my account.
O yes - I gave my private keys to a lovely customer service agent…don’t judge me😭
Funny thing; my loss was about 700 give-or-take, while the hanging withdrawal was about 800 and wasn’t gone. So the hack left me with the 3/4-month patience to wait for my money to hit my bank account.
Finding balance between dualities - I find - is a constant test of elastic dissonance. How far can you stretch between conflicting ideas you hold?
Love and War.
