For this, we will use a reliable dApp I have used before and highly recommend. This Tool allows us to create our custom Solana Token, filling in some information within 2 minutes.
Before starting with the process, I think it’s important to have basic knowledge about Solana Tokens, then, What’s a SPL Token?
SPL is the acronym of “Solana Program Library”, so if we talk about an SPL Token, we are referring to a Token in the Solana Blockchain. It is the analog to ERC-20 Tokens in Ethereum.
We can use SPL Tokens for different purposes, but having one for an NFT Project is common. We can add liquidity to it in a DeFi Platform, reward holders in Staking, etc.

Let’s start with the process, we will have our token ready within minutes.
First of all, we should go to the Solana Token Creator Tool (https://tools.smithii.io/token-creator/solana)
Connect your Solana wallet to use the tool
Write your Token Name
Put your Token Symbol
Select the Token Decimals, the most common is 9 Decimals. If you are creating a whitelist token, use 0 Decimals
Write your Token Description
Upload your Token Image
Put your Token Supply
Click on “Create Token”
Accept the transaction (0.5 SOL payment)
After doing all this, the token creation will start. In just 1 minute the process will finish and you will have the whole supply of the token in the wallet you used.
