The Robert Sylves Foundation announced last week that the artist T.J. Clarke (T. J. Clark) and Titiv Noor (Tausif Noor) received the second Grace Dudley Prize for Arts Writers. Clark is an honorary professor in the history of art at the University of California, Berkeley, and the most recent works include: Behind apple: Seshan and Under (2022). Noor is currently a doctoral student at the University of California, Berkeley, to study the present global contemporary arts, focusing on South Asia and its colonial history, as a former Fulbright scholar who served as a policy researcher at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Philadelphia from 2017 to 2020. Both are authors of the Arts Forum.

T.J. Clarke, born in 1943 in England, initially in the name of Marxist artist history and later as a representative of the methods of research in the history of the arts society, with the “absolute asset class”, “The Image of the People”, “The Images of Modern Life”, “Young, Modernism”, and so on. In 1973, by virtue of two doctoral-based writings, the “absolute asset class”, “The image of the people”, he laid down his position as an international artistor and was considered a pioneer in the history of new art in English-speaking countries. The Commission considered that Clark provided revolutionary fresh fresh insights into diverse themes such as Burgear, Choto, Kulbe and Bilagasso, while reflecting deep human sensitivity and uncompromising sensitivity. Noror was commended for its article “Thoseful study of different topics”, which “would shun the reflections on beauty and production and the admirable sensitivities of history and personal background”.

The Delegate Award and the Robert Sylfes Tribute each year ( Robert B). Silvers Prize for Literary Criticism and Robert C. Sylvester Press Prize. Silvers Prize for Journalism was also awarded, with two winners each receiving a total bonus of $135,000 and each recipient receiving between $15,000 and $30,000. The Syrds-Dudeli Award was established in 2022 and is intended to “accredit the distinguished winners of the type of writing that Mr. Sylves supported and encouraged during his inaugural edition of the New York Commentary and his late partner, Ms. Grace Duli”.
