Ever thought of a Web3 version of Discord or Telegram? Wasder has created such a space for gamers. You can meet people, play games, and create communities. In short, it is a social gaming “microverse”.

Wasder Features

Wasder aims to become the prime arena for gamers. It has a feature called Spaces.

  • Spaces

Spaces is the place where you can find gaming communities, content, events, players, Party Chats, etc. So, let’s say if you like Call of Duty, you can join its Space and may find all the information about it.

  • Social gaming

You can play games with others by finding fellow game connoisseurs on the platform. For that, you may have to create a profile and add your favorite games and achievements. After that, you can connect with anyone through the Party Play option.

The unique selling proposition of Wasder is that provides an environment free of toxicity and also communities with a fast connection.

There are more than 2.7 billion people, providing a huge community that may also lead to network effects. Since there are so many users, you can choose the content you wish to watch by using Spaces.

  • Party Chats

Once a game is over so is the conversation. Wasder has a solution to that in the form of Party Chats. With them, you can connect with your fellow community members any day and at any time. You can join as many Party Chats as you want and even invite the ones who are not on Wasder.

Catering to Both Consumers and Developers

There are 2 sides to Wasder. One side aims at providing all the information to consumers about the current and upcoming games along with the community. It speeds up and shortens the funnel from hearing about a game to community gaming and competitions.

The other side of the spectrum is development. Wasder envisions providing developers with all tools they need to grow their users and improve sales conversion. With these tools, developers can better target users and advertise their products.

They can even improve community engagement by using the native token of the platform WAS to mint NFTs, distribute rewards in a tournament, giveaways, content creators, etc.

Was token

The Wasder ecosystem is powered by the $WAS token. WAS incentivizes users to stay on the platform and use it more often

There are 2 sides to this. You can both earn and spend WAS tokens.

To spend you can:

  • Participate in VIP events as Influencers, e-sport teams, and streamers.

  • Upgrade your avatars, frames, badges, and customize your look

  • Tip creators for their effort and incentivize them to create more such good content

  • Challenge your fellow gamers for battles.

To earn WAS you can:

  • Host tournaments or any event where you can invite anyone

  • Create content or publish games and earn rewards for that

  • Participate in battles or tournaments and defeat communities/guilds

  • Attain high ranks on community leaderboards

  • Perform actions in the ecosystem

More details will be released about it later. You can buy WAS on Zero exchange and Uniswap.

Staking Program

Wasder has a staking program rewarding the users of the ecosystem. The staking contracts of the protocol are developed by Ferrum. They are hosted on Uniswap where you can be a liquidity provider (LP) and earn rewards.

You can provide liquidity and get time based guaranteed returns. So the longer you stake for, the more you earn. In this program, you not only earn the trading fees but also get a 360% APY which comes down to 30% a month.

Currently, the staking program is not on. Other than the regular staking rewards, Wasder also has some ‘Bonus Rewards’. There are 14 such rewards with different capital requirements and limited slots for stakers.

Token Audit

Wasder has been audited by Zokyo which awarded the project a score of 100 making it safe enough to be listed on crypto exchanges.

It had a testable code of 100%, which is above the industry standard of 95%. Zokyo has recommended a bug bounty program given that the Ethereum ecosystem changes and upgrades rapidly.

The security firm found 3 low level issues and 1 informational issue in the code all of which were resolved by the Wasder team.

Therefore, no critical issues were found and all these findings had an impact only in their individual cases.

Models and Revenue Streams

Business models:

  • Wasder as a Service

By serving both users and developers Wasder can make the experience of gaming more social and immersive.

  • Wasder Digital Products

Wasder will have digital assets like NFTs for superfans, investors, and NFT gamers. These NFTs can also be used as a mark of brand loyalty. By integrating Web3 games, Wasder may also feature some rare NFTs that can be monetized.

All the users will earn NFTs and WAS which may improve retention.

  • Wasder as a Lifestyle Brand

Wasder will partner with content creators and non digital brands in clothing, physical art, and music. So, it can be a platform for traditional businesses as well.

Revenue Streams:

  • Advertising

Since game publishers would be advertising themselves on the platform, Wasder will earn from them.

  • NFT Market Cuts

Wasder has planned to establish an NFT marketplace. Through that, it will earn from marketplace sales and royalty cuts.

  • Partnership Agreements

By cracking featured partnerships, Wasder can provide a platform to companies that wish to target millions of users and also earn from them.

Roadmap

In the ongoing quarter, we might get to see the NFT marketplace up and running and the commencement of WAS rewards. Furthermore, guilds may be established which may also host tournaments and challenges.

Where Can the Protocol Improve?

The staking program is not always on. It is erratic. With such a schedule, users may not park their money in $WAS. Usually, it is the surplus funds that are used for such purposes. Then they may look for alternatives.

Also, the rewards it provides are really high and may not be sustainable for the long term. Wasder is essentially a Web2 product with a token. It has an economy that runs through $WAS. Web3 messaging is still far from mainstream. If it can develop such a thing, it may disrupt the industry.

Wasder can also look to expand its domains. Currently, it is catering to just gaming communities. However, it can go beyond and host any kind of community just like Discord or Telegram. Keep in mind that the platform is still not finished to judge the viability of the utility of $WAS. In the coming 3 months, some of the features may come alive then we can see the real utility.

Conclusion

Wasder gives players a seamless gaming experience in one easy-to-use app.

Including fun ways to find friends, discover games, & explore content from their game partners on the different seasons that they have on the Wasder pass — like the current season with TheHarvest game on the BNB chain.

Its a great way for good Web3 games to be discovered by mainstream players.

Wasder seems like a gamer’s paradise. It already has a huge community of users. Web3 gaming is the future of the world and with such a large community it may look to slowly transition itself to a Web3 first product.
