Code Geass

Code Geass is a popular anime series that originally aired in Japan in 2006. The series was created by Sunrise and directed by Gorō Taniguchi. It is set in an alternate timeline where the British Empire has conquered Japan and renamed it Area 11. The story follows a high school student named Lelouch Lamperouge, who is secretly the exiled prince of the Britannian Empire.

Lelouch is granted a power known as "Geass" by a mysterious woman named C.C. This power allows him to command anyone to do his bidding, as long as he can make eye contact with them. Using this power, Lelouch creates a new persona known as "Zero" and forms a rebellion group called the Black Knights to fight against the Britannian Empire and their oppression of the Japanese people.

Throughout the series, Lelouch struggles with the morality of his actions and the consequences of his decisions. He also faces challenges from other powerful figures within the Britannian Empire, including his childhood friend Suzaku Kururugi, who is a member of the Britannian military and opposes Lelouch's rebellion.

Code Geass features intense action scenes, political intrigue, and complex characters. It has been praised for its storytelling and character development, as well as its exploration of themes such as power, morality, and identity. The series has spawned various spin-offs, including manga adaptations and video games, and has a large fan base both in Japan and around the world.
