Congratulations to everyone who made it to step 6 — the hardest part is behind us. We’ve figured out what kind of persona we want to present to the crypto world, cleaned up our account to make it visually appealing, determined what to post, and figured out how to communicate with others.
Today, we take a step back, look at everything we’ve done.
At the heart of any social network lies a simple truth: it is merely a tool.
You build your life first, and only then do you decide how to translate it into the digital space in a way that feels honest and engaging.
Today, I want to walk you through my personal journey on Farcaster — to show how my account evolved, what frustrations I faced along the way, and where this path has ultimately led me. Through my story, we’ll revisit the entire guide step by step, so you can see how each part works in practice.
Step 1: My Profile and Inspiration
I joined Farcaster in June 2024, not knowing anyone except my friend @klusya.
The very first thing I did was write a strong and convincing profile bio. I wanted anyone who found my page to immediately understand who I am and why they might want to connect.
Also i spent time exploring Farcaster and found 10–15 accounts that I genuinely liked. I carefully analyzed why they caught my attention (what made their profiles and posts stand out) and decided to lightly mimic their best qualities, while keeping my own authentic voice.
Step 2: My Motivation
From the beginning, I knew exactly what I wanted: to meet inspiring people from the IT and crypto world, to become an ambassador for blockchain projects, and eventually to create my own startup.
At the same time, I realized that life of a professional flutist can be interesting. So early on, I decided to focus my posts on showing my musical journey while i learn about crypto and observing how the community operated.
Step 3. Identity bricks
When I looked at the Identity bricks of my personality, I felt there were many things I couldn’t or didn’t want to share publicly in the crypto world.
For example, I decided to completely avoid discussing politics.
I also didn’t want to dive too deeply into personal stories about my family or the challenges of being a musician.
Instead, I chose to focus on the topics I felt comfortable sharing and built my content around five or six key points.
Step 4. Setting My Style
I carefully picked a few core themes that felt natural to me: music, crypto learning and daily personal reflections. These topics were easy to write about because they were a genuine part of my everyday life.
Then as my real life started to shift — new projects, new friendships, deeper experiences in crypto — my content also naturally evolved.
Also when I started casting, I made a deliberate choice: I would write everything in lowercase letters without using parentheses.
Sometimes a few silly emojis sneak into my posts, that’s my little guilty pleasure.
Step 5. Building Connections
In the beginning, I must have rewritten my bio a hundred times until it finally looked and felt “right,” even though I didn’t have many followers yet.
Once I was happy with how my page looked, I started interacting strategically.
At first, I only engaged with accounts under 1000 followers, then gradually expanded to those with up to 2000 followers y etc.
Each day, I replied thoughtfully to 50–100 different people, but only when I truly had something real to say — a comment, a reaction, or a joke.
I would also leave 6–10 thoughtful replies on bigger accounts just for the chance of being noticed, even though I was mostly ignored.
At the beginning, not many people replied to me, and I made it a rule that if after 2-3 comments a person doesn’t respond, I unfollow them and don’t continue to push. Especially if it was a big account.
I did this because I knew: either I’m not interesting to the person (and that’s okay), or they just don’t notice me in the flow of information and will follow me later when they do.
That’s exactly what was happening afterwards. And yes, there were accounts that deliberately ignored me and still do, but that’s completely fine. I won’t be surprised if, someday, we cross paths and realize we’re interested in each other. Or maybe we do not.
STEP 6. Conclusion
Farcaster has its own unwritten rules of communication, and adapting to them is completely normal.
The key is to always remember your main goal and never lose your unique voice.
Focus on finding real friends first — over time, your circle will represent you even better than you could yourself.
1. Don’t be afraid to rewrite your bio and adjust your profile until you truly love it 100%.
2. Find your people, connect beyond public posts — chat privately, jump on coffee calls, and meet in real life whenever you can.
3. Create, create, create.
Tomorrow is the last little step!!
