gm everyone!
I’m K - and I’ve started to write as an avenue to document my learnings, thoughts and experiences on business, crypto, living, and being, to anyone on the internet that is willing to spend time listening in reading.
I have always been an avid sharer (often too much) of the things I’ve learnt with my friends. This has accelerated massively over the last 2 years with COVID-19, as my social lifestyle has gone dark indoors due through COVID measures, and much of my time is now spent in front of the computer.
I started a telegram group (now several hundred followers strong!) sharing short, bite-sized web clippings and resources I came across online - largely focused on business, tech and equities; and often times, my thoughts on them and what it meant for investors and society (not investment advice!).
However, I’ve always wanted to do more. Write more. Create more. Share my thoughts with the broader internet. Long has it been that I had sat on this decision but now that changes.
Inspired by people across the internet such as Stratechery’s Ben Thompson, a16z’s Benedict Evans and Li Jin (you can already see, I’m clearly a fan of ahem which VC!)
I’m no Ben Thompson, nor a Benedict Evans, just an internet denizen who is willing to spend time reading, thinking and digesting the multitude of news. And I’m here to share that with you. Sharing my thoughts has always been a passion of mine (sometimes I think I might like the sound of my voice too much), and now I bring those thoughts to you.
As I document my learning journey, mature, and soak in more information and perspectives of the people around me, my goal is to create a repository for me (and my readers) to learn alongside myself. With information so widely available online, it can be hard to distil and separate the good from the bad, the noise from the gems.
Moreover, I want to close the feedback loop. I’m always happy to hear the thoughts of others. As they say… cliché trigger warning
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
Let us go far.
I (generally) aim to be correct, thoughtful and objective, but never politically correct. Among the ideas/content that I share could be mine, or it could be borrowed (credit where credit is due! Not to worry)
Are you ready? Come with me through this journey - I’m sure it will be a fun ride.
I am a Web2 business nerd, and a newly minted web3 obsessive.
My background includes equity research, strategy consulting and strategy at fintechs, and product management.
I introspect and ponder about the observable (and unobservable world) around me. Sometimes more than I have to. In my free time, I enjoy a good game of tennis, nerding out on specialty coffee and spending a unjustifiable amount of time on Twitter.
