As a "brush enthusiast," my creative journey began with the exploration of the possibilities of tools. When I first encountered Procreate in 2019, I was amazed by its brush library that mimicked traditional media— the graininess of charcoal, the coverage of watercolor, and the layering effects of crayons could be perfectly replicated on an iPad. Since then, I have been obsessed with studying the relationship between brush parameters and artistic expression, even spending 72 hours continuously adjusting the texture threshold of the "rough fill brush" to recreate the mottled texture of a storybook from the 1920s. This obsession has brought rewards: my brush set has been used in several bestselling picture books, and students have commented that "a single stroke can bring out vibrant life." Today, I am still exploring how to make digital tools closer to the warmth of human craftsmanship—after all, behind every brush is a silent dialogue between the artist and technology.
