RTFKT was acquired by NIKE, this is their first “land” piece. Digital land + fashion is a no-brainer for me.
10KTF: Famous artist Beeple is behind this project. This is a digital fashion play (with physical items coming) everyone is sleeping on. It’s a famous artist who likes to play games which so far has been a winning combination every time. In September he let people with Bored Apes, Cool Cats, and a few other projects create digital backpacks and sneakers. These are genesis pieces and are the most valuable, yet they’re “only” 0.2ish ETH right now. In October he gave people holding these genesis pieces tools, like cloth, scissors, tape. Only people with these tools can create new items (shoes, caps, hoodies, socks, etc).
The cheapest option is to buy a tool from the stockroom, like cloth. You will be able to “stake” it soon, which basically means you lock it up and can’t sell it. While you’re staking you will earn a percentage of the fees every time someone uses that tool to create new items.
If you can afford it I’d highly recommend a genesis piece from the main collection as well, because he’s going to take a snapshot of holders from Jan 13 - Jan 27 (you must hold for the entire duration) and those people will be rewarded….somehow.
My 10KTF investment thesis is simple: Digital/Physical fashion from a well-known artist who loves to play games rewarding holders, plus it’s rumored to already have a major fashion brand collaboration coming up.
