Where am I? Like really, I’m sitting at home on my computer in my awesome fucking apartment, surrounded by art I love, with NYC at my fingertips, yet I’m here. Sitting in front of my computer typing on this blog. So lets make this quick today.
Why? Because this is what I’ve always done, from the time I can remember I was on a computer. But, Street Fighter II Arcade version was definitely my first trip into the metaverse. I don’t know how long it was there in the back of the magazine / comics shop, but one day I became aware, that I could put a quarter on the little lip at the bottom of the screen, and take the controls of my first avatar. Fight! The quarters invested challenging the older kids that looked like adults, just to learn the special moves so I could wow other button mashing kiddos later that week.
