The past three months have been a blur of encouragement and excitement as KulaDAO continues its progression toward launch.

If you have been anywhere near KulaDAO's socials and community sites, you will have seen updates about our trip to Bekazulu Mining in Zambia.

We have featured in Yahoo Finance, Benziga and numerous other major press websites of global reach. This is just the beginning. 

Bekazulu is our first RegionalDAO. They are several years into developing a Limestone concession in the Eastern Province of Zambia. We spent four days with the operations team on the ground, living in tents, getting to know the mine workers, and visiting their families in the surrounding villages. It was epic.

The purpose of this visit was threefold.

First, we wanted to use the visit to generate source material for KulaDAO to showcase how we work as a project (our values) and what we want to achieve (our mission).

Second, eyes on verification of the Limestone mine, its operations, and output was a critical step to finalizing our contract with Bekazulu to bring the entity formally into the KulaDAO ecosystem.

Third, we were privileged to commission a borehole supported by KulaDAO for the local communities close to the Limestone mine.

We are deeply proud of the quality output of our video and marketing team. More will soon be posted beyond the update shorts on our May social feeds. Keep your eyes peeled.

Spending time with Bekazulu’s operations team and workers was beautiful. Observing the process from extraction to refinement and shipping ready product was the reassurance we needed to capitalize KulaDAO's first investment into the project. One highlight was seeing the sub-5 second reactivity of the hydrated lime – a critical quality for its use in the refinement of other natural resources like copper and cobalt that are necessary for global energy transfer.

As KulaDAO’s first regional project, Bekazulu Mining will also become one of the first mining projects in Africa to be governed under a DAO structure. It was thrilling to complete the deal, upgrading our relationship from MoU to contracted partner.
