We have long been waiting for it and now it has finally happened: The Shardeum airdrop has been confirmed!
Shardeum is the world´s first EVM-based L1 which uses dynamic state sharding to achieve linear scalability. Linear scalability provides low gas fees forever while maintaining true decentralization and solid security.
Let´s first start by setting up our Metamask wallet for the Shardeum network before we proceed with testing some of the apps built on Shardeum.
Step 1
Add Shardeum Liberty 2.X testnet to Metamask. Go to **Chainlist **connect your wallet and add the testnet.
Step 2
Get faucet. Go to the Shardeum faucet page and click on ´Tweet Now´. Click ´Okay´ and replace 0x000… with your wallet address. Then tweet and copy and paste your tweet link. Now you can click ´Request SHM´ to claim faucet.

Enter any amount, click ´Swap´ and confirm in your wallet
Click ‘Liquidity’. Click ‘Add liquidity’ and select token. Click ‘Supply’.
