This will actually be quick.

My friend told me that you could easily design a virus to target specific people. All you need is their genomes. That’s crazy. Definitely should work into world building idea.

It is like a spell you can cast. Take a bit of lock of their hair or drop of their blood and make them fall in love with you. Or die. Or get sick. (curse them).

In this world what are spells and spell casters. They have some deep knowledge that and they use some setup to affect the world.
Some people can research the idea of different spells while some apply them. You can cast protection spells to protect you.

What kinda of spells exist? Some ideas:

• Potions

  • potion that kills or heals someone

• Curses

  • Smell that will kill a certain person

  • Break a heart monitor

• Nifty control spells

  • Open doors

  • Turn on lights

  • Track someone

• Magical Creatures

  • Create bio / mechanical creatures

  • Control creatures (mind altering substances, tech in brain, control mechanics)

• Change appearance

  • Smart clothes

  • Instant surgeries

  • Illusions

How could spells be cast?

• Wand

  • Phone

  • USB

  • Object that transmits signal or plugs in

  • Device in the brain

• Artifact that amplifies spell

  • Computer with super signal

  • Adds package to bypass security

• Create something in a lab

  • Want this to feel more wizardy and less big metal tubes

  • Grow underground

  • Zerg eggs

I lot of ideas stem from being able to plug oneself into or technologies. The Ents have computers in them so someone could talk to them from many miles away.

How will people interact with technological creatures?

What infrastructure is needed to create such a world? Needs to enable cool ideas but also allow for a diversity of cool ideas? Some thing will need to be interoperable and some things will not be able to interact. What events would make things interoperable or not? I can imagine blockchain ideas making things interoperable. We also see the fracturing of the internet taking place with different countries controlling it in different ways and using different apps.

This had to be quick today. Got to think about world building tho and generate some questions.
