As the wise internet has tweeted many times to my face, the best way to learn is to start doing. So here I am. This post is my first post on Mirror and I will attempt to use experiment with every available feature.

I am currently new to Crypto and LOVING IT. It feels like a whole new, vibrant world has been thriving under my nose without me realizing it.

Of course, I got all excited about NFT’s and bought a Faceless. I’m unsure if this is a total waste of money or a worthy investment. Their Discord server is now alocked and there has been a lot of unrest on Twitter, for example. 🤯

Here you can see my questionable investment using Mirror’s awesome NFT embed:

Argh! Slight problem. Turns out my (not really) super valuable Faceless is an NFT minted on the Solana network. Mirror currently supports Etherum NFT’s so I’m going to distract you with this perpetual slinky loop I found on Foundation.

Damn you, gas fees! My brilliant idea to crowdfund my 2nd blog post has been stymied by a ‘mere’ $724.10 in gas. Comeeeee ooooonnnnnnn sharding!

I guess that means no embedded auction too :( How cool are the folks at Mirror, giving you the ability to embed a live auction and crowdfund right from a blog post? Big props to these guys, seriously impressed. This is the next-level stuff that excites me about Web 3. I mean, I had no idea this even existed 6hrs ago.

Here’s a sneaky workaround by using the embed functionality and an existing auction. Because, hey, this is so frikkin cool you gotta see it:

Getting this to display nicely was a little tricky and I was pleasantly surprised to find I could mix the [iframe] and [size] commands in the same URL.
