  • Why should you (or anyone else) invest in this project and not another project?

7 indicators every #NFT investor should be using to evaluate projects

  • Estimated Marketcap Calc: 7 day avg price * total supply Here's why: NFT markets are generally less liquid and move considerably slower than fungible tokens This indicator is useful becuse it eliminates outdated inputs (ex: early crypto punk sales)

  • Diamond Hands Balance Calc: Total amount of NFTs belonging to addresses who haven't sold any NFTs from a given collection Here's why: Useful indicator for identifying projects with true long-term believers.

  • Unique Holders Here's why: Useful for understanding the size of a project's community. ( blue chip analysis here )

  • Volume Traded Here's why: Basic but important indicator for understanding the overall market demand for a project IMPORTANT: Indicator should never be used in isolation because it can be gamed by whales. Use in tandem with Unique Holders (above)

  • Rarity Score Here's why: All things being equal and if you don't have a preference on aesthetics, NFTs with higher rarity scores are usually more valuable than those with lower rarity scores.

  • 6. Floor Price Here's why: Useful indicator to monitor how cheap/expensive it is for users to join an NFT community. ( daily floor stats )

  • Seniority Distribution TLDR: Shows distribution of NFT ownership over time Here's why: Useful indicator for understanding which NFT projects have long-term focused communities.

Red flags in nft projects

  • Undoxxed team:

    1. This is a big one. there is really no reason why a team should be undoxxed when there are millions are the line.

    2. Doxxed team regardless of skillset, background adds a layer of trust that these are real ppl building real projects.

  • Fake followers/acc

  • Artificial hype - leveraging celebrity endorsement + paid cameo gigs.

  • Unrealistic mint price:

    1. Hype + fomo is equation for unrealistic mint price.

    2. Real community builders start at something affordable and not extract all the liquidity out of the market.

    3. Just b/c the project can/may demand such price, doesn't mean they should.

  • Predatory tactics:

    1. Floor sweeps, banning member for listing below prices.

    2. Echo chamber, harassments, threats, etc.

    3. Piggyback of popular projects/ips.

  • Meta cliche:

    1. Repetitive meta/roadmap that brings little innovation.

    2. Failure to address legality concerns over securities and insurance of tokens.

    3. Lack of ability to create proper tokenomics/p2e for sustainability/longevity.
