Airdrop Strategy: MeanMonday

Mean Finance

@mean_fi

is a protocol that enables dollar-cost-averaging to certain crytocurrencies. They don't have a token yet, but have hinted that they probably will. How to prepare for $ MEAN, should it come:

1/7

What is DCA? Dollar-cost averaging is the practice of systematically investing equal amounts of money at regular intervals, regardless of the price of the asset. Today's bird is Mean Finance: It allows users to DCA ERC20 tokens on Arbitrum, Matic, Optimism. Automatically.

2/7

What would be its use case? Imagine you are bullish ETH long term, and want to invest $10,000. Instead of market buying $10,000 of ETH right now, you can set it up on Mean Finance so that it buys 1000 USD automatically once per month, for 12 months. Neutralizes volatility

3/7

How does Mean work? • Select tokens (i.e. pay with USDC → get ETH) • Set desired timeframe • Then, place the position & you will get an NFT Each position is linked to the chart showing the performance of DCA vs a single purchase

Do they have a token? $MEAN has not launched yet, but it could one day:

5/7

In fact, they already received an $OP grant from the Optimism Foundation, and they airdropped some of that $OP tokens to past Mean users. What was the airdrop criteria? • Having a DCA position on Optimism before the proposal was published. Full details:

Call to action: • Open a position on Mean • Use Mean's newest feature (more below) • Provide valuable feedback ("feedback" channel in Discord) • Join their discord & use collab-land to get a rank As always, DYOR, there is smart contract risk on this protocol, as all do

7/7 Recently, Mean launched a yield-bearing-DCA program. This means users can earn yield on a DCA position. (
