Writer. More than a curious mind eager for new knowledge. Documenting my Web3 journey, while sharing the lightbulb moments and confusion.
…and maybe a bit of confusion. Hi, I’m Lynda. A week ago, I couldn’t explain the difference between Web1, and Web2, or why there’s so much buzz about Web3.
But I was curious. And I wanted something new.
I’d been telling stories, and writing articles for magazines and I also dabble with content writing for brands. But lately, I started feeling this pull, a small pivot. I’m not trying to abandon the other type of writing I do but instead, I wanted to take it somewhere else. Somewhere that felt fresh. Somewhere like Web3. So I did what most of us do when we are curious, I went on YouTube (actually, Chat GPT first). And when I saw just how much there was to take in, I created a roadmap. A sort of beginner’s guide to guide myself. Because, let’s be honest, there’s no “A Dummies Guide to Understanding Web3” book sitting on the shelf. Or is there?
Since I’m a pen-to-paper kind of girl, I started sketching out a four-week learning plan. The goal for Day 1-3 was simple: understand what Web3 really is and then challenge myself to publish my first article on a Web3-native platform. So shoutout to Mirror.xyz for making that part possible.
In my next article, I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned so far. Maybe I’ll even explain Web1, Web2, and Web3 in the simplest way I can for anyone like me who’s new to this world. Or for someone who just needs a quick refresher. I’m not going to pretend I know it all yet. Everything feels like a lot (I am an anxious, easily overwhelmed wreck). The funniest part is that Web3 is still being shaped. But I’ve decided to lean into it, to let curiosity and confusion lead the way. Because learning something new feels so exciting. And really, what’s life without a little knowledge?
So here goes nothing. Also, WAGMI right?
